WAHIAWA, Hawaii (KHON2) -- Honolulu Fire Department officials have called off the search for a missing hiker on the Wahiawa Hills Trail. Five units staffed with 15 personnel responded to the incident with the first few firefighters arriving at the scene shortly before 7 p.m. Officials said units secured a landing zone to prepare for a search by air. The search was suspended just after 8 p.m. due to inclement weather and is set to resume at first light on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
