ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A beloved pizza shop in Newark was broken into overnight Monday, according to the owner. The break-in reportedly happened at BB's Pizzeria around 2 a.m. Photos of the incident sent to News 8 by the owner Josh Jackson show the glass front door shattered. I give food to people in need and give free pizzas out, I do drives and give money out to families and for this to happen, it just hurts," he told News 8. "In a community I give so much back, so much. This has been two times in this past year it won't stop me from being the person I am to my town, but I will get through it and keep being me." Jackson said an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the register, adding that it cost him about $800 to fix the damage. News 8 reached out to Newark Police Department multiple times for more details but has yet to hear back. A GoFundMe was set up by a community member to help, you can check it out here.
