SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A San Diego police officer rescued a non-breathing one-year-old infant Tuesday in Point Loma. Around 1:35 p.m., a woman frantically called police about a baby not breathing in the 1100 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, the San Diego Police Department confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI. Police say the woman was first given CPR instructions by the 911 dispatcher. When authorities arrived on scene, Officer Warner helped to get the child breathing again. Hourly minimum wage in San Diego is increasing to a rate higher than the state average "Baby was conscious, awake, breathing, crying, sounds like he is just going to go up to Rady’s for some medical treatment," said Warner, who also credited the dispatcher for their CPR instructions. It is uncertain what exactly happened at this time, but the officer did mention the child has some underlying conditions.
