On Tuesday at 8:41 p.m. an updated lake effect snow warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Wednesday 1 p.m. until Sunday 4 p.m. for Oneida, Cayuga, Onondaga and Madison counties.The weather service says, "Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations over 2 feet will be possible in portions Northern Oneida, Onondaga and Madison County. In southern Cayuga County, localized snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches will be possible. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph."
