NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Very pleasant conditions will continue tonight as a cold front moves south. Temperatures will be falling through the night but still be nice for fireworks. Expect mid 50s on the south shore at midnight with upper 40s to around 50 north. Lows will eventually drop to the low 40s north and mid to upper 40s south by Wednesday morning. New Year's Day will be clear but cool as temperatures struggle to reach 60. It looks like we stay dry now through the start of the weekend with temperatures staying in the low 60s for highs. The coldest night over the next few will be Wednesday night as morning lows Thursday drop to into the upper 30s in the northern half of the area.
