WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) -- A man has life-threatening injuries after a fight and shooting in Winston-Salem on Tuesday, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release. Around 8:05 p.m., Winston-Salem officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3100 Block of University Parkway. Surry County man wanted for shooting man who intervened in domestic dispute Arriving officers found a 24-year-old man at the BP on University Parkway with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was then taken to a hospital. Investigators say he was involved in a fight on University Parkway when he was shot. He ran to the BP where officers located him, the release says. Police believe this is an isolated incident. The investigation is ongoing.
