(KRON) – A Hayward man accused of walking up to a man and fatally shooting him point blank in the face in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District has been charged, according to San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins’ office.
On Oct. 30, Michael Javius, 22, and another man were in a corner store near Ellis and Jones streets, when 64-year-old William Edward Clark entered the store and lined up in front of Javius at the counter. Clark paid for his items and left the store.
According to court records, Javius put on a sweatshirt while following Clark and shot him in the face at close range. The DA’s office said the victim was left on the sidewalk outside the market. Javius, according to the DA’s office, fled northbound on Jones Street.
