HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A New Year's Eve celebration is going down at the Waikiki Beach Marriott as we get set to welcome in 2025. Joining Wake Up 2Day on Food2Go on Tuesday morning with all the details were Events Director Tiare Tipoti and Executive Sous Chef Nuno Alves. "We're thrilled to welcome guests to our beautiful rooftop activity space, Queensbreak, for a delectable buffet dinner with live music by LJ Wells & Friends, followed by rooftop dancing with DJ Wizzard," Tipoti said. "The best part? Guests can enjoy a front-row view of the Waikiki fireworks and a toast at midnight! We are also offering kamaʻāina discounts for dinner with validated self-parking." There is also a dinner buffet that offers plenty of local ingredients. "We have prepared an amazing menu featuring local ingredients and flavors. We brought just a few of the dishes – but there is something for everyone," Alves said. The menu for the evening includes watercress salad and poke ahi for appetizers. For later courses, there is grilled fish and charred kahuku corn. The main attraction for many is the carving station. "Our Old Time Hawaiian Salt-Crusted Prime Rib is slow-roasted for 12 hours with rosemary and cracked pepper, served with kiawe smoked au jus and creamed horseradish. And, of course, there's our sugar-cane brined turkey with local citrus-cranberry sauce." Alves said. After dinner is over, the party begins on the rooftop. "The rooftop party kicks off at 8:00 p.m. DJ Wizzard will be spinning until 12:30 a.m. It's free to enter, family-friendly, and the perfect spot to watch the Waikiki fireworks. For an extra-special experience, guests can reserve a private fire pit, which comes with party favors and two bottles of champagne," Tipoti said.
