EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Happy New Year’s Eve, Borderland! Hopefully you were able to enjoy the Sun Bowl game with the warm, but comfortable temperatures. Expect mostly clear skies and cooler temperatures to welcome into 2025 at midnight.
With an overall low in the upper 30s, lower 40s range, by 12 a.m. temperatures will be in the mid-40s range. If you plan on celebrating outdoors, make sure you bring a jacket! As for your actual New Year’s Day, a slight cold front will drop temperatures in the low 60s. Mostly sunny skies will begin the year, followed by a low in the mid 30s.
Above average warm temperatures will be present throughout the weekend along with light winds and high cloud coverage. Lows will range in the upper 30s, lower 40s.
For Monday, conditions shift as El Paso starts to see more seasonably normal conditions – even dropping below the average for some days. Through Thursday our highs will range in the mid to lower 50s, with lows either hitting or getting very close to freezing.
