The Walworth County Commission held their final meeting of 2024 on Tuesday, December 31st. Emergency Management For Walworth County Emergency Manager Jeff Jensen, the commissioners approved the adoption of the Warhawk Pre Disaster Mitigation plan.  Jensen said FEMA has realigned how they want the report done. https://media-cdn.socastsrm.com/wordpress/wp-content/blogs.dir/2626/files/2024/12/12-31-24-jensen-pdm.mp3 After Commission Chairman Jim Houck signs the adopted plan and the County Auditor notarizes it, Jensen will submit it to NECOG. The commission also approved several budget supplements for the Sheriff’s Department, most of it for jail operations. — Also at Tuesday’s meeting, Commissioner Duane Mohr had the Landfill monthly report; several abatements were approved; and the County Auditor presented two budget supplement requests which were approved: $16,000 for the E911 Fund, and $75,000 for Lift project for the Courthouse.   12/31/2024 Commission Meeting Posted by Walworth County, Selby SD on Tuesday, December 31, 2024
