NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — WGNO will be live in New Orleans' Jackson Square to ring in the New Year and the 91st annual Allstate Sugar Bowl happening on Jan. 1. Good Morning New Orleans anchors LBJ and Amy Russo are kicking off the coverage on WGNO.com as the annual parade brings in the Georgia Bulldogs and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Mardi Gras style. The Allstate Sugar Bowl Parade set to dazzle New Orleans The parade will feature several NOLA dance groups, school bands city officials and much more parading through the French Quarter starting at 2 p.m. (WGNO/Raeven Poole) The event begins at the corner of Elysian Fields and Decatur Street, travels along the Mississippi River, past the Old U.S. Mint, French Market, Cafe du Monde and Jackson Square ending on Canal Street. You can catch the celebration live on NOLA38 (WNOL). The rebroadcast will happen on New Year's Day at 9 a.m. on WGNO-TV ABC 26. Kickoff for the 91st annual Sugar Bowl is set for 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
