CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Learn something new and cap off your holiday vacation by visiting two local museums for free this weekend.
Bank of America is offering its members free admission to the International African American Museum and the Gibbes Museum of Art on Saturday and Sunday. The special offer is valid for Bank of America, Merrill, and Bank of America Private Bank cardholders.
Guests can view two special exhibitions that are currently on display:
Unsettled Things: Art from an African American South (IAAM)
Celebrating the 1858 Prize for Contemporary Southern Art (Gibbes)
Bank of America said it “believes the arts have a unique ability to connect people and communities and help local economies thrive.” That’s why they are offering free access to cardholders through its Museums on Us initiative the first full weekend of every month.
“This is one example of how the bank strengthens the local communities it serves, creates greater cultural understanding, and expands accessibility to the arts,” said Bank of America in a news release.
Guests must present their Bank of America, Merrill, or Bank of American Private Bank credit or debit card, along with a photo ID, to receive free general admission into the museums.
