HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton Police said they have identified a suspect in a homicide Sunday at Stillwater Tavern. Terrell Xavier Jones (Photo provided by Hampton Police Division) Terrell Xavier Jones, 22, of Hampton, has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm in an occupied building, reckless handling of a firearm and possession of a concealed weapon, police said. The charges are in connection to a shooting around 12:39 a.m. Sunday at Stillwater Tavern in the 500 block of Settlers Landing Road. Overnight shooting leaves one dead in Hampton When police arrived, they found Gabriel Simon, 22, inside the business suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Police said there was a verbal argument between the victim, Simon, and the suspect, now identified as Jones, who police said should be considered armed and dangerous.
