(KRON) -- A multi-agency cliff rescue on the San Mateo County coast saved one hiker Friday, according to Cal Fire.
Rescue crews responded just after 4 p.m. to Devil’s Slide, located south of Pacifica at the south end of the Tom Lantos Tunnel on Highway 1, on the report of a hiker in distress. A California Highway Patrol helicopter assisted in the cliff rescue along with a rescuer from North County Fire Authority.

The hiker was saved without injury, Cal Fire said.
Other agencies that responded include Cal Fire, Coastside Fire Protection District, San Mateo County Fire Department, Pillar Point Harbor Patrol and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
No further details of how the hiker ended up in need of rescue were immediately available.
