(WTAJ) – After 21 years, WWE's "RAW" is leaving cable to join Netflix every Monday night beginning Jan. 6, meaning streaming is the only way to watch the longest-running weekly episodic show. WWE is hyping up the debut of "RAW" on Netflix and it looks like it's going to be stacked from beginning to end. Roman Reigns will have his first match on "RAW" since July 2022 (Bloodline vs Matt Riddle and the Street Profits) when he faces Solo Sikoa to determine the one and only Tribal Chief. It's also reported that John Cena will make his triumphant return to begin his farewell tour leading to his official retirement after WrestleMania. Here are the ins and outs you may need to know before watching the debut of WWE's "Raw" on Netflix. WWE’s ‘Raw’ moving to Netflix is a deal worth more than $5 billion What matches are scheduled for the 'RAW' debut on Netflix? As mentioned, The OTC (Original Tribal Chief) Roman Reigns will take on the self-proclaimed current Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa. The winner will be the official "Head of the Table" and don the Ula Fala, a traditional Samoan necklace representing pride, love and respect. In addition to the continued Bloodline saga, a Wrestlemania dream match was announced between Seth "Freakin" Rollins and "The Second City Saint" CM Punk in what will undoubtedly get personal and vicious. After months of seeking payback on the Women's World Champion, Rhea Ripley will get her shot at Liv Morgan. It's another bout that could certainly get personal as Ripley looks to end this war and take back her title. The "trade window" between "RAW," "SmackDown" and NXT is still open. We could see anyone show up on Jan. 6 to join the "RAW" brand. Recently, Logan Paul announced he joined while the "Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman jumped to "SmackDown." Do I need to upgrade my Netflix plan to watch? No, according to Netflix, it will be available live on all plans. There will be select WWE content available to people outside of the U.S. (Sorry, America, you'll still need that Peacock subscription for the Premium Live Events.) It's reported that WWE "RAW" will lengthen to three hours again, and will have commercials as normal, even if you pay for an ad-free plan. Where can I watch? Netflix will be the exclusive home for "RAW" in the United States and territories including American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These are the cars of Netflix’s “Senna” mini-series Members in the following countries can also watch "RAW" on Jan. 6, 2025: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom. Netflix noted that more countries will be added in the future. Can I watch WrestleMania on Netflix? Again, sorry America. Only the countries listed above that are outside of the U.S. and its territories will be able to watch "SmackDown," NXT and Premium Live Events (PLEs), including WrestleMania 41, on Netflix. Select archive footage from the now-retired WWE Network will also be available. How long do I have to wait after a live WWE 'RAW' to watch it on demand? Netflix said you'll be able to watch 'RAW' from the film catalog immediately after it airs live. Will it still air at 8 p.m. ET? It should be noted that when Netflix says "RAW" will be live, they mean it. While it traditionally always started at 8 p.m. Eastern, that won't be the case going forward. For example, when WWE does a European tour ahead of WrestleMania, and "RAW" starts at 8 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time, it will air live on Netflix on the East Coast at 3 p.m. For more information, fans can visit Tudum by Netflix by for an "ultimate guide" for viewers.
