Skies have seen a major rebound from the weekend! Sunshine has returned to Central Ohio with temperatures on their way back to the 50 degree mark. However, before we end off the year, we're looking at another switch in the forecast. Clouds will build in during the overnight period. Temperatures will remain fairly level, dropping to around 40 for the start of Tuesday. Our next system will arrive for New Year's Eve, bringing in a lot of moisture and very cold air. Rain chances will be very steady for Tuesday. A band of heavy showers will move in during the morning commute. We're still looking at scattered rain through Tuesday afternoon with a light and stray chance taking over for the rest of the evening. There's still a decent amount of rain in the area when the ball drops to ring in the new year. Temperatures will take a major dip going into the New Year. We're looking at a chance of a few snow flurries for New Year's Day with temperatures a touch above freezing. Towards the end of the week, the thermometer will not break out of the freezing zone. The weekend will be spent with daytime highs in the upper 20s, but with some sunshine. Later on Sunday, we see a good bit of snow starting to develop. We're keeping an eye on a decent winter system that could bring the best chance of snow so far to Central Ohio for the beginning of next week. -Joe
