Mobs of suspects robbed 2 Oakland gas stations early Sunday morning: OPD

(KRON) – Mobs of suspects robbed two Oakland gas stations in less than two hours early Sunday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department.
Oakland PD responded to the report of a robbery at an Arco gas station in the 5100 block of Shattuck Avenue around 4:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a group of people, who arrived in vehicles, used blunt objects to gain access to the gas station. The suspects then demanded property from an employee and the employee complied. The suspects fled before the officers arrived.

Less than two hours later, Oakland police officers responded to a Shell in the 500 block of Hegenberger Road around 6:15 a.m.
Responding officers were informed that multiple suspects arrived in vehicles. Police said one of the suspects was armed with a blunt object. The suspects then demanded property from an employee and the employee complied, according to OPD. The suspects fled before officers arrived.
It is uncertain if the same suspects committed both robberies.
