Central Ohio Weather and Radar WIND ADVISORY UNTIL 11 P.M. SUNDAY NIGHT A potent wave of low pressure over northwestern Ohio will move north of Ohio this evening. Light showers will persist, accompanied by gusty southwesterly winds (30-45 mph). Temperatures peaked in the low 60s, and are slowly dropping, reaching the 40s later this evening, following the passage of a frontal boundary. Winds will remain blustery through the night, gradually subsiding by morning with the departure of low pressure to Ontario. Clouds and any isolated sprinkles early Monday will give way to some afternoon sunshine. Temperatures will be cooler, but still mild for late December, near 50 degrees. Another in a series of Pacific disturbance tracking from the central Plains to Ohio will bring periods of rain on Tuesday, but this time followed by seasonably cold air and a few snow showers on New Year's Eve, mixed with rain, and early on New Year's Day. Colder air will prevail later in the week into the weekend, with temperatures below freezing, following the passage of an Alberta clipper system that could bring a few snow showers at the end of the week. Forecast Tonight: Light showers, windy, cooler. Low 40 Monday: Early shower, some sun. High 50 (41) Tuesday: Rain. High 49 (41) New Year's Day: Cloudy, windy, cooler, flurries. High 38 (34) Thursday: Mostly cloudy, cold. High 33 (26) Friday: Clouds, few flurries. High 32 (25) Saturday: Some sun, frigid. High 26 (18)
