ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester Police Department announced Saturday night that officers are searching for a man after a gun was fired inside the Danforth Tower on West Avenue.

According to police, officers were called to the apartment buildings just before 9:30 p.m. and determined the gun discharged during an altercation with the security guard in the foyer. It's alleged the man was denied entry before he pulled out a weapon and the struggle ensued.

No injuries were reported. Police said the suspect took off into a nearby car before officers arrived and has not been located.
