HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) -- The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect in connection to a Friday shooting. At around 3:40 p.m., Hampton Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to a walk-in gunshot victim at the Sentara Careplex. When officers arrived at the hospital, they spoke with the victim, a woman suffering from a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening. The victim claimed she was walking in the area of Shell Road and Bell Street when she was struck by gunfire. She changed the location to the 2800 block of Rosalee Drive upon speaking with detectives. The victim was unable to provide officers with a description of the suspect. The incident remains under investigation by the Hampton Police Major Crimes Unit.
