Kentucky football 2024 transfer portal tracker

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- The transfer portal opens on Monday December 9, but some Kentucky football players have started putting their names in the portal as of Tuesday December 3.
Below is a list of Kentucky players who have decided to enter the portal in chronological order.
Tuesday December 3
Redshirt Freshman Defensive Back Avery Stuart
Stuart announced his choice on his Instagram account saying “I will be entering the transfer portal with three years of eligibility remaining.”
Sophomore Long Snapper Walker Himebauch
Himebauch thanked Big Blue Nation on his X account as he enters the portal with two years left to play.
Junior Defensive Lineman Keeshawn Silver
The news of Silver’s departure was first reported by On3. During the 2024 season, Silver had 14 solo tackles and one sack. “Kentucky will always hold a special place in my heart,” said Silver.
Junior Defensive Back Jarard Mosely
Mosely has two years of college football left to play as he enters the portal. He announced his decision on his X account saying “I’d like to thank the Kentucky coaching staff and BBN for giving me the chance to pursue my passion.”
Wednesday December 4
Junior Wide Receiver Dane Key
The hometown talent leaves Kentucky after three seasons and has one year of eligibility remaining. Key has been one of UK’s best receivers during his time as a Wildcat. In 2014, he caught 47 passes for over 700 yards, scored two touchdowns and was the team’s best in receiving yards per game.
Sophomore Inside Linebacker Jayvant Brown
Brown saw action in one game, Murray State, in his second year as a Wildcat. “I look forward to the future and am excited for what lies ahead,” said Brown, who also thanked his coaches at UK in a social media post.
Freshman Quarterback Sage Dawson
The Boyle County product spent one season at UK and has four years of eligibility left. Dawson was a defensive back at UK, but has been offered a spot to play quarterback at Kentucky Wesleyan.
Redshirt Freshman Defensive Lineman Tommy Ziesmer
Another former Rebel testing the portal’s waters, Ziesmer played in two games this season for Kentucky. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
Sophomore Tight End Khamari Anderson
Anderson calls his time in Lexington a “privilege,” and enters the portal with two years left to play. He caught five passes in five games in 2024.
Redshirt Freshman Tight End Tanner Lemaster
The Ohioan has three years of eligibility left as he enters the portal.
Senior Offensive Lineman Courtland Ford
The experienced lineman is reported to be in the portal according to CBS Sports and 24/7 Sports. He arrived before the 2023 season to help with the offensive line’s performance from Southern California.
Thursday December 5
Junior Wide Receiver Barion Brown
Brown becomes the second top UK wideout to transfer in as many days. He has one year of eligibility left. Brown leaves Kentucky as the SEC’s all time leader in kicks returned for touchdowns with five.
Sophomore Wide Receiver Anthony Brown-Stephens
The second year wideout says that his decision to leave “wasn’t easy,” and that he is looking forward to what lies ahead.
Junior Tight End Jordan Dingle
The Bowling Green product has one year of eligibility remaining after spending his entire career at Kentucky.
Friday December 6
Sophomore Linebacker Tyreese Fearbry
Fearbry leaves with two years of eligibility left and says “this was not an easy decision.”
Junior Offensive Lineman Ben Christman
Was with UK for two seasons. Leaves with two years of eligibility remaining.
Sophomore Outside Linebacker Noah Matthews
Played 12 games with the wildcats in 2024 season. Matthew’s has two year’s of eligibility remaining.
Monday December 9
Senior Running Back Deamonte “Chip” Trayanum
The senior was one-and-done with Kentucky after coming to the program from Ohio State. He played in three games this year for the Wildcats, averaging 33.7 rushing yards per game.
Junior Quarterback Gavin Wimsatt
Wimsatt spent one season with the Wildcats as a backup QB to Brock Vandagriff. After transferring from Rutgers, he played in eight games for Kentucky and averaged 58.8 yards of offense per game.
Sophomore Wide Receiver Brandon White
Leaves Kentucky with two years of eligibility remaining. White played two games with the wildcats in the 2024 season.
Freshman Outside Linebacker Caleb Redd
The freshman played in just two games for Kentucky in the 2024 season.
Saturday December 28
Freshman wide receiver Hardley Gilmore
The true freshman was injured at the beginning of the 2024 season. Once cleared, he played seven games with the wildcats, tallying six catches for 153 yards and one touchdown.
