Where is Trenton’s Animal Shelter Advisory Board? (L.A. PARKER COLUMN)

A failure by Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora to follow through on an executive order to form an advisory board to influence Trenton Animal Shelter operations attracted criticism.
Councilwoman Jasi Edwards said Gusciora’s animal intervention essentially scuttled efforts made by she and colleague Yazminelly Gonzalez.
Edwards cried foul during a City Council meeting on Dec. 19, saying that she and Councilwoman Yazminelly Gonzalez had worked on the creation of an animal shelter advisory board.
“This was something that the administration pushed back on. Then, the executive order came out from the Mayor in April and here we are in December and these things have not been enacted,” Edwards explained.
“We were working on this and could have had a board in place that could have overseen some of these processes, that could have prevented this unauthorized $100,000 in kind donation…..I have to express my disappointment that this advisory board was never enacted.”
