KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Fire crews from Northeast Johnson County's Consolidated Fire District #2, Overland Park, and Shawnee needed more than an hour to bring a fire under control that caused significant damage at a Merriam 7-Eleven on Saturday morning. Firefighters responded to the call just before 5 a.m. at the convenience store located at 68th and Antioch, according to information from the Overland Park Fire Department's spokesman.
