FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- The Fort Wayne Police Department investigated after receiving calls of shots fired early Saturday morning on Fort Wayne's northside. FWPD confirmed they investigated after receiving calls of shots fired around 1:30 a.m. They confirmed with WANE 15 that no one was injured or arrested as a result of the investigation. No exact location was given but police logs indicated that dispatch received calls of 'Shots Fired' in the 5200 block of St Joe Road near St Joe Place Apartments. Initially WANE 15 was told it was in the area of Corner Pocket Pub. Sgt. Christopher Felton with the FWPD told WANE 15 that a fight in the area broke out resulting in someone firing shots in the air. When officers arrived those in the area scattered. Officers at the scene said no one would cooperate or provide any information. Officers cleared the scene guaranteeing that no one was injured. Police confirmed there is no active threat to the public. No further information was provided by police.
