CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - A passing cold front will bring the chance for some isolated severe thunderstorms Sunday morning through afternoon. Thunderstorms and damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph are the main threats; however, there is a low threat of tornadoes and large hail. “Not a high risk, but certainly on the table. We will have to watch the radar trends early tomorrow, with the threat dependent on how much cloud cover and early rainfall we see,” said Storm Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Rob Fowler. Fowler said the threat will be higher if we see less cloud cover and/or rainfall Sunday morning, creating a more unstable air mass. For now, forecasters say the greatest threat will be along and west of I-95. Count on 2 for updates and download the News 2 apps for weather alerts and updates.
