The results from our latest SB Nation Reacts Survey are in and fans’ confidence has returned in a strong way. Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
In this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey, we asked Lions fans just one question: Are you confident the Lions are headed in the right direction? (weekly poll)
In the original survey article, I laid out how the confidence survey had fluctuated throughout the season, mainly only dipping significantly following a loss. If you missed it, here’s a refresher:
Opening Week 1: 99%
Following a win over Week 1 Rams: 97%
Loss to Bucs: 79%
Win over Cardinals: 92%
Win over Seahawks: 99%
Bye week: 96%
Win over Cowboys: 98%
Win over Vikings: 98%
Win over Titans: 96%
Win over Packers: 99%
Win over Texans: 99%
Win over Jaguars: 99%
Win over Colts: 99%
Win over Bears: 91%
Win over Packers: 98%
Loss to Bills: 86%
And now, with a second win over the Bears, and maybe a little bit of common sense (based on the comment section from the original piece) the survey results are back up to 98%.
Additionally, SB Nation also ran a national survey asking who would cover the Lions -3.5 spread over the San Francisco 49ers, set by the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, and the national audience continues to side with Detroit, with 90% of national fans believing the Lions win and cover.
