COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Northwest Columbus residents got an early wake up call Saturday morning as an odd siren sound was heard throughout the area.
A police dispatcher said that Columbus, Dublin, and Worthington police went to Centennial High School on Bethel Road to investigate a loud siren sound at around 6:30 a.m. The sound was originating from near the press box at the school's football stadium and stopped just before 7 a.m., per a dispatcher. It is unknown at this time what device caused the siren sound.
NBC4 viewers described the sound as not being the same to a traditional tornado siren but more in line with an emergency vehicle.
