ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Pittsford Panthers high school hockey team laced up their skates Friday morning to help instruct the next generation of athletes.
The free clinic is hosted each year at the MCC Ice Plex. Varsity players spend an hour working with kids from elementary and middle schools helping them sharpen their skills this hockey season.
The team says it's a fun way to connect with younger players and it allows them to give back to the community.
"These kids are going to be representing Pittsford Hockey in the near future so it's fun to work with them and get to know them because when I come back here, I'll see some of these kids and it's all about building up that program," Senior Hockey player at Pittsford-Mendon said.
The team will also be hosting their annual pink the rink game on February 1 raising funds for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.
