MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A road rage incident on a Madera County highway ended in gunfire Friday evening, CHP says.
According to Madera area CHP, tensions between the two drivers on Highway 99 escalated into shots being fired.
CHP says neither party was struck by the gunfire and no injuries have been reported.

It is unknown at this time what prompted the initial road rage and subsequent escalation, but updates will be provided as they become available.
