Suspect with distinctive gun robs two Midtown stores

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A masked man used a long-barreled revolver to rob two Midtown businesses over the past week, and police are looking for him.
The man's first robbery was Dec. 21 at the Marathon station at Madison and Belvedere. He pointed the gun at an employee, demanded money and got away with $1,000 cash.
Thursday, the same suspect walked into the Family Dollar at Avalon near Poplar with the same gun. He demanded money from an employee and got away with $100.
