FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) - Those looking for Mega Millions luck headed to gas stations and conveniences stores on Fond du Lac's 'Miracle Mile' to buy tickets ahead of Friday evenings drawing. The jackpot for the Mega Millions drawing was $1.22 billion, which is the fifth largest in the game's history. Fond du Lac's 'Miracle Mile' is a group of convenience stores on Main Street that have had a history of selling winning lottery tickets with huge jackpot prizes. Kool Quick Stop is one of the stores that makes up the 'Miracle Mile.' "When it goes really high like into a billion, we see a big boost in customers," said Amanpreet Singh who is the assistant store manager at the Kool Quick Stop store. Most of the customers who visited the store while Local 5 News was there Friday afternoon bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket. Some of those customers said they don't normally play the lottery, but that they decided to give it a shot since the jackpot had gotten so large. The winning numbers Friday night were 03, 07, 37, 49, 55, 06. Lottery officials said that players chances of winning are about 1 in 302 million. Only three Mega Million jackpots have been won this year, the fewest of any year since the game began.
