GLEN ULLIN, ND (KXNET) — A 66-year-old woman from Hebron has been killed and her three passengers were injured after she was allegedly distracted by a phone call and lost control of her car. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), on December 27 at about 4:35 p.m. half a mile north of Glen Ullin, a Kia Sorento was traveling southbound on County Road 88 when the driver became distracted by a phone call. Her vehicle veered off the roadway to the left, entering the eastbound ditch. The Kia then struck a concrete bridge support and came to a stop. The driver, who was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead after being life-flighted to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. Three kids in the car aged 15, 12, and 11 sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sanford Hospital. The NDHP says all the kids were wearing seatbelts. The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox. Subscribe Now Today's Top Stories SIGN UP NOW
