AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The office of Attorney General Ken Paxton said it "secured a victory" for President-elect Donald Trump during a hearing on Friday before a federal judge aimed at preventing the Biden administration from disposing any border wall materials over the next month, a news release from Paxton's office said. Trump will use those materials "as he sees fit," the release said, and the Biden Administration confirmed in the court Friday it agreed to the order. Paxton files motion to block auction of border wall materials Last week, Paxton filed a motion to stop the sale of pieces of the border wall. He said he took that action “following reports that the Biden Administration is illegally selling segments of the border wall at the United States-Mexico border.” In addition to the order, the court said the state was entitled to documentation, which proved the Biden Administration had not violated an injunction secured by Paxton in May requiring the administration "to spend statutorily obligated funds on border wall construction after the federal government attempted to illegally redirect the money," the release said. “We have successfully blocked the Biden Administration from disposing of any further border wall materials before President Trump takes office,” Paxton said in the release.
