COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- The Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center has revealed the total number of adoptable dogs picked for its annual holiday sleepover event. Each year the Franklin County Dog Shelter calls on all dog lovers to invite an adoptable dog to spend the holidays outside of the shelter with them in a loving home. This year, the shelter tells NBC4 that a grand total of one hundred dogs were chosen to go to a sleepover. Metallica selects central Ohio marching band as finalist in nationwide competition A spokesperson for the shelter explained it is too early to tell how many of these dogs will be adopted due to the sleepovers. He says many hosts will extend their time through New Year's Day and either choose to return or choose to adopt. The shelter encourages anyone who has a sleepover story to share it online with the hashtag #FCDSSleepover.
