(KRON) -- A 19-year-old San Jose man who allegedly manufactured ghost guns and used social media to sell them was arrested last week, the San Jose Police Department announced. SJPD said detectives with the department's Gun and Hazardous Suppression Team (GHOST) discovered a social media account on October 30 being used to buy and sell illegal firearms. GHOST detectives investigated the account and identified the suspect as Lucien Cabrera. Many of the firearms, according to police, were privately made firearms, commonly known as ghost guns. Cabrera, police said, was also importing high-capacity magazines from Florida and Nevada to sell in San Jose. Newsom extends CHP surge operation in Oakland, expands to Vallejo To solicit potential buyers, police said Cabrera would send videos of himself firing the illegal firearms in public places across East Palo Alto and San Jose. Some of the locations Cabrera is pictured firing the guns in include open fields, residential properties, and a San Jose school campus. He was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for crimes including possession of illegal firearms, manufacturing and selling illegal firearms, and discharging a firearm in a school zone.
