Bank robbery prompts FBI investigation in Junction City

JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) - Federal agents are investigating a reported bank robbery in Junction City this week.
Bridget Patton with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said in a press release that a bank robbery was reported at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 27 at the Sunflower Bank at 510 North Jefferson Street in Junction City. An unidentified man allegedly entered the bank, showed a firearm and demanded cash.
Patton said the man fled the area on foot with an unknown amount of cash. The suspect's face was covered during the incident and no injuries were reported.
The FBI is expected to release additional details on this incident shortly. 27 News will add more information to this article as it becomes available.
