PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Gov. Dan McKee has announced a date for his upcoming State of the State address. The speech will take place at the R.I. State House on Jan. 14, 2025 at 7 p.m. It's expected that the governor will talk about how the state is currently doing along with his goals for the legislative session. A Republican response will be delivered by R.I. Senate Minority Leader Jessica de la Cruz right after McKee's speech. The governor will also unveil his budget proposal in the coming days after his speech. The speech will be available to watch on WPRI 12 and online at WPRI.com.
