NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Dense fog expected to develop again late tonight and into tomorrow morning. Temperatures are in the upper 70s this afternoon. VERY warm for this time of year. Thunderstorms are impacting coastal Mississippi for the lunch time hour. Locally we remain cloudy. After isolated storms expected again today, tomorrow's forecast is becoming increasingly concerning for portions of Louisiana and Mississippi. The highest threat is for locations along and north of the I-10/12 corridor. There is a risk for all modes of severe weather tomorrow evening. Any storm that does develop will have the capability of producing damaging winds, hail, and even an isolated tornado. Hail may be p to or over 1 inch in diameter. Wind gusts up to 60 mph. There will be a strong low level flow of warm moist air from the Gulf all day long creating for primed environments for these storms to 'take off' in strength when developing. Have a way of receiving notification in case a warning is issued for your neighborhood. Devastating storms ripped across Texas yesterday. The forecast called for multiple severe storms to form creating for threats of damaging winds and large tornados. This unfortunately played out as expected as weather turned violent in SE Texas the day after Christmas.
