FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- A local tiny donut shop, which usually operates out of an airstream, will open its second location inside a downtown ice cream shop, as a way to keep warm during the winter months. 'tiny little donuts' has seen "tons of success" since coming to Fort Wayne according to Jacob Guge, the Director of Operations. In this success the donut shop has connected to the community finding different ways to give back such as a pony ride with every purchase day and a day where 100% of sales went to the homeless community. When 'tiny little donuts' Director of Operations, Jacob Guge, realized he didn't need that much space to operate the shop, he started brainstorming ways to connect even more with the community. "We realized after operating in an airstream, we only need about 200 square feet to operate a business, so that's where the idea was born," Jacob Guge, the Director of Operations said. Guge said Sweets on Main was one of the first locations they reached out to, mainly because of their location right off of Main Street in downtown Fort Wayne. 'tiny little donuts' has already begun the process to move into Sweets on Main, but is still gathering permits and inspections before beginning operations. With hope to open the location in early 2025, Guge wants to ensure Sweets on Main lovers that the location will remain there, opening in the evenings to serve ice cream after tiny little donuts serves up donuts in the morning. "We are so grateful for the community of Fort Wayne just loving on tiny little donuts," Guge said. "It's been so fun, that's why we want to expand." Guge said they still plan to operate out of the airstream through the warmer months. "Our motto is to shine your light so we've done that in one location at the airstream and now we want to do it 100 times over."
