BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A produced water tank leak occurred at the Robert Stephen 5-8H well December 21, about 55 miles northwest of Williston. According to information from the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division, the Murex Petroleum Corporation reported about 400 barrels of produced water were released on location. At the time of reporting, 300 barrels of produced water had been recovered. A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
