BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The coroner's office has identified the semi-truck driver who crashed into the California Aqueduct along Interstate 5 on Dec. 22. The coroner said Raul Cibrian Navarro, 32, of Calexico was traveling north on Interstate 5, when he left the roadway and crashed in the California Aqueduct near Laval Rd. just before 5 a.m. Bakersfield City holding two events to help shape the future of Old Town Kern The big rig almost became completely submerged following the crash. Navarro was found in the semi-truck's cabin after the vehicle was removed around 2:46 p.m. He died at the scene. The coroner's office said CHP are still investigating the cause of the crash.
