Police: Man stabbed in face during fight at Gaithersburg restaurant

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Gaithersburg are searching for the person who was accused of stabbing a man in the face during a fight at a restaurant Thursday night.
According to the Gaithersburg Police Department, on Dec. 26 just after 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Cancun Mexican Restaurant located in the 100 block of E Diamond Avenue for a stabbing.

During their investigation, officers learned that two men got into an argument that escalated into a fight.
Police said that's when one of the men took out a knife and cut the victim in the face.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Gaithersburg police said the suspect has not been taken into custody, as of Friday morning.
