MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Officials said one person was injured after a tanker truck crashed into an embankment in Montgomery County Friday morning. In a post on X, Pete Piringer with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said the crash happened on Spencerville Road near Good Hope Road and Veitch Lane. Woman hit, killed by car in Burtonsville Giant Food store parking lot Piringer said the tanker truck was carrying 6,000 gallons of gasoline when it ran off the road and crashed into the woods. One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Piringer said a hazmat team was called to the scene. As of Friday morning, several lanes were blocked off.
