MEMPHIS, Tenn. --  It’s finally Friday, which means it’s time to look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area. This week we have some special events lined up to help you ring in the new year. On New Year's Eve, you can make your way downtown on Beale Street! There will be live music, bar crawls, and of course the official countdown! The Beale Street New Year's event is free, but with a $75 Beale Street fast pass you can skip lines putting you at the front of the tower! Also downtown, gather your champagne flute to ring in the new year at the Peabody Hotel. The celebration begins at 8 p.m. General admission tickets are $65 per person. Ring in 2025 with Lafayette's Music Room! The restaurant in Overton Square will feature Vegas-style seating with passed appetizers, party favors, and of course a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets start at $50 and doors open at 5 p.m. We can't leave the kids out! Take the kids to the Ben Hooks Library at 11:30 a.m. on New Year's Eve for a children's New Year celebration. The kids can enjoy arts and crafts, music, and confetti cannons! The event is free! Calling all superheroes! You and the kids can dress as your favorite superhero at the Memphis Fire Museum. There will be face painting, candy, and balloon drops. The event starts at 10 a.m. with the 'kids count down' at noon. Admission is $5. Time travel into 2025 with the 'Zen House' New Year's Eve celebration! Organizers say to dress in your favorite past or futuristic costumes. The event begins at 8 p.m. and is held at the studio along South Cooper. Tickets are $40.
