FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Friday, the Allen County Coroner named the victim in a shooting on Christmas north of downtown that was ruled a homicide.
The shooting happened in the 1600 block of Wells Street around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. It's unclear what led to the shooting.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner identified the man as Philip Michael Rhinehart, 39, from Fort Wayne. His death was ruled a homicide.
The coroner determined he died from a gunshot wound in his chest.

While the shooting is still under investigation, two people were arrested and preliminarily charged with murder: 46-year-old Chad Kinney and 47-year-old Shawn Williams.
