2 hurt in Barnes County crash, dog missing

DAZEY, ND (KXNET) — Two people were injured Thursday in a car-commercial truck crash near Dazey in Barnes County. A dog travelling in the car is also missing.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, conditions were foggy around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 26.
A vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Cooperstown woman approached the intersection, began driving through it and t-boned a commercial truck towing a trailer.
According to the highway patrol, the truck had failed to yield at the stop intersection.
The driver of the car and a 34-year-old male passenger also from Cooperstown were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The 20-year-old Wimbledon driver of the truck was not hurt.
A dog named Daphne that had been in the car with the Cooperstown couple ran off after the crash and disappeared into a slough area. The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating the animal. If anyone observes a dog in the area around the Highway 1 and Highway 26 intersection, they are asked to contact the Barnes County Dispatch Center at (701) 845-8181, or call 911 to reach the dispatch center.
The breed of the dog is not known.
The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
