(KRON) -- San Jose civil rights leader Jethroe Moore has died, the San Jose/Silicon Valley NAACP announced Thursday.
The NAACP described Moore as "one of the most impactful community leaders" in the South Bay over the past 10 years. He served as president of the San Jose/Silicon Valley NAACP chapter and vice president of the California/Hawaii State NAACP.

"His presence can never be replaced, and he will be profoundly missed," said San Jose/Silicon Valley NAACP Vice President Sean Allen.
Moore was a licensed and ordained reverend and was a Pastor of the Rehoboth Christian Center, according to his bio on the NAACP's website.

Moore was married with two children. His family plans to set up a GoFundMe for assistance.
