CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating after a man was killed in a motorcycle accident in South Chesterfield. Officers were called to the 5300 block of Woodpecker Road around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26, for a reported single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Upon their arrival, responders found a man who had been thrown from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the man's identity is currently being withheld until his next of kin can be notified.
