FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- With Santa back at the North Pole and Christmas gift unwrapped, one farm in Mount Airy is now accepting Christmas tree donations. According to the Farm Sweet Farm Animal Rescue, pine trees are great for goats, providing nutrients and vitamin C. Pine trees can also act as a natural dewormer. PHOTOS: DC News Now team celebrating the holidays fashionably with pets The trees can be used to help cut down on food costs on the farm. The farm which is located on McHenry Drive, said the Christmas trees can be left at any time next to the driveway. All trees must be green and not painted.
