CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Mug, a coffee shop in Clovis' Peacock Artisan Eatery has closed due to unforeseen issues. The Mug Community Coffee Shop started in July 2019. According to the coffee shop's website, it was created with a vision to bring people from all backgrounds together under one roof. The coffee shop posted on social media on Dec. 26, a letter to the Peacock Artisan Eatery and their community. The Mug owners say they are thankful for all the love and support they have gotten from Clovis. We're so grateful to the Peacock Artisan Eatery for giving us the opportunity and all for all the connections we've made in the community. This wasn't an easy decision, and were so thankful to the Peacock Market ownership for their understanding and compassion during this difficult time for our family. The Mug The Mug has closed the Clovis location due to "unforeseen family medical issues," as it has made expansion unsustainable at this time, according to the social media post. The Fresno location remains open. The Mug in Fresno is located at 1137 E. Champlain Dr.
